Sabbath is far more than a day off or a list of rules—it's about finding true rest in Jesus and extending that rest to others. God's vision for Sabbath encompasses restoration, freedom, and healing. While religious leaders focused on legalistic observance, Jesus revealed Sabbath's true purpose by healing on the Sabbath and inviting the weary to find rest in Him. True Sabbath practice involves both receiving Jesus' rest for our souls and sharing that rest with others who need restoration and freedom. By understanding Sabbath in this fuller sense, we participate in God's ongoing work of making all things new.
