Who We Are
We are part of the Church of the Nazarene, a family of 12,000 churches gathering in over 160 countries.
With roots that reach back to the Anglican and Methodist traditions, the very first Church of the Nazarene was started in Los Angeles in 1895 as a mission to the poor.
The name “Nazarene” refers to Jesus Christ who grew up in the humble city of Nazareth. Remembering that Jesus was a Nazarene reminds us that God identifies with the poor and cares deeply about the everyday needs of the common person.

What We Believe
Our core values provide the foundation on which all our ministries are built. They guide our decisions and are what make us a distinct community of faith.
The Word of God | a primary way God communicates with us
All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives.
2 Timothy 3:16-17 NLT
Prayer | a primary way we communicate with God
Look to the Lord and His Strength; seek His face always.
1 Chronicles 13:11
Personal Relationship with God | the primary relationship of a Christian's life
How great is the love the Father has lavished on us that we should be called the children of God! And that is what we are!
1 John 3:1
Family | the primary context where our personal relationship with God is lived out
. . . as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.
Joshua 24:14
Worship | the expression of our love and adoration for God
Therefore, I urge you brothers, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God - this is your spiritual act of worship.
Romans 12:1
Discipleship | the development, growth, and pursuit of our relationship with God
This is to my Father's glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples.
John 15:5 & 8
Mission | carrying out the task(s) God has for us
Jesus said: "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations . . ."
Matthew 28:20
Fellowship | living out our common faith in the community of Christ

Acts 2:44,46-47
TRANSFORMED LIVES
Our Purpose
LOVE is what God calls His believers into through a life of holiness in both our words and actions. We endeavor to example Jesus’ sacrificial love, in all areas of our life, as we are to strive to live out His Great Commandment of loving God and others. (Matthew 22:37-39)
GO is the command Jesus uses to send His church into the world to participate in making authentic followers of Christ. We are a body of believers that goes out locally and globally, as well as providing Biblically sound teaching and a safe place to grow and nurture faith in the Lord. (Matthew 28:19-20)
SERVE and unity interlock and overlap. We are better when we serve as a Faith Family. We believe the Lordhas a place for every person and person for every place, by providing opportunities to serve together, both in and outside the local church, while continuing the mission and ministry of Christ to all.
